Good for you for being accountable...
Why the "may not get approved", is your insurance being a PITA about it?

I have a bmi of 37.7 and although I have high cholesterol, osteoarthritis and stress incontenance these are not considered co-morbidities by my insurance company. I did the sleep study last Monday and haven't got the results yet but I think they will not be significant. I have a condition - Pseudo Tumor Cerebri - which the doctor said he would push the insurance to take into consideration but it has been under control for about 5 years now. I have noticed the return of some symptoms recently and am trying to pay attention.
Being 5' 0", a percentage of fat of 50% and having a small frame I feel like I should be considered a good candidate ... but not so much in the eyes of the insurance. Not sure I can convince myself to take out financing for the surgery.
I try not to get down about it because I know that weight loss surgery is a good solution for a permanent change in my life (after 30+ years of dieting I just can't bring myself to do it again).

Good going, Mandy...you'll crack that decade soon...

Yeap, and if that doesn't help, go see your doctor.
