Hello WL Friends....

Last week I suffered with unbelievable pain in my lower back...I couldnt sit, stand or lay down without wretching in pain....I ended up at emergency on Friday morning and was given a dose of morphine so dr. could examine me....I had a ct scan that afternoon and it was discovered that a piece of scar tissue from a prior surgery was wrapped around my bowel...a bowel obstruction...I was then rushed into OR for immediate surgery!!  I had my DS surgery 13 months ago....I have lost 110 lbs and was happy about it....But I am overwhelmed with the events of last week and am not in a good mindset today...I am still recovering and just taking it easy...I just need some words of encouragement and support...thanks for listening!!!!

Glad you got to the hospital when you did! You saved your own life. I know that this is not what you planned for, but I am glad you have made it through.
So sorry that you have had to go through this. I cant imagine.
Big hugs to you!Just take it easy, keep sipping, walking and resting.

Watch or listen to something positive today. Hope you are feeling better soon!

Congrats on your success! You have done an amazing job!

Thank goodness they got stuff fixed quickly.  You have every right to be feeling the need for support after all that.

We make the decision for surgery with our eyes open and with lots of thought.  Then we just don't expect this kind of thing to happen right after.  I know I never planned on having to go back in with my knee and the week after had a major pity party.  But I am better now and you will be too.

Take care so you can keep healing.

So sorry you had to go through this!  I wish you a speedy and event free recovery.  It is good that you have learned to listen to your body and this too shall pass!  You have accomplished so much in your past 13 months, don't let this unusual situation take away from what you have been able to acheive!

I'm so glad you got the help that you needed and quickly.  That can be such a dangerous thing.  It is the one thing that I still worry about happening to me.

Congratulations on your success.

Take care of yourself and I hope you have a very speedy recovery.

Thanks Linda for your message...We all need to be aware of bodies and if something feels amiss...we need to get on top it immediately!!  Im thankful my DH couldnt bear to watch me in pain and insisted on taking me Emergency!!  Im trying to be positive...it will happen as I heal and each day gets better...
