Yeah, the surgeon is a great surgeon, and the bariatric nurses are very good (although one seems to think that the BMI is the end all/be all), but the dieticians are just... there is no word.

Its SO hard to convince others, especially newbies, when they hear it from a NUT.  I knew in the early days I put a lot of weight into what they said - why not?  They're supposed to know what they're talking about.. fast forward 6 months and learning lots of new stuff... and now they don't seem to know so much, eh?

So its fine to be followed by knowledgeable people - but what about the other folks that are hearing the dribble??? OMG!! Not really a good way to address that.

And I did attempt to debunk some of her crap, but, since she has the degree and I only have the experience, only the people who haven't yet swallowed her Kool-aid (hmmm... wonder if she approves THAT - probably not, it's either got sugar or a substitute) got it, and most of them already had it.

The really scarey part is that she may be the only information some folks have.  Oh dear.

Maybe becaus there is no such thing as "whey collagen". Collagen is meat-base protein. Whey comes form milk. There are products that have whey AND collagen in them. But calling them whey collagen would be like saying a product with sugar and flour, contains" flour sugar."

Whey isolate - whey protein where all the lactose has been removed
Whey concentrate - whey protein where most, but not all of the lactose has been removed

If you aren't lactose intolerant, it doesn't really matter and whey concentrate is cheaper.

You know that, we all learned that, but I still worry about the newbies who won't if they only listen to her.
