Good Morning. Any fun traditions for St Patrick's Day?

I think I have 1 green shirt/blouse but I'll have to look to make sure. Maybe a pair of dark green velvet-like brushed jeans. At least I shouldn't get pinched for not wearing green that day.

Is anyone making corned beef and cabbage?  Gotta recipe to share?  I would really like to make corned beef this year---haven't had any in forever.

What traditions do you have for St Patrick's Day?

In my younger and much wilder days, I was a green beer girl.  Now I just have corned beef and cabbage at home.  Lol.  Too bad youth is wasted on the young!

We go pub crawling with a large group of friends (60+) dressed in green clothes.  I'm the designated driver these days.  It is fun roaming around downtown.

We don't usually do anything for St. Patricks Day.  I am participating in a Shamrock Jog & Jam 5K this coming Saturday night.  It is a benefit to help local cancer patientsthat was set up for a young local fireman that lost his battle to cancer several years ago.

I have not had corned beef & cabbage since I was a little girl.  That was back in the clean your plate days and my mother fixed it one Saturday for lunch - I sat there almost all afternoon not wanting to eat it because it was all mixed together.  I need to try it now because I like so many things that I used to dislike.  Maybe someone will post a good recipe for us!!

I've never really done much for St Pats day.  I usually even forget to wear green.

Wouldn't mind doing something fun this year... no beef and cabbage for me - can't stand the smell..

Oh, BTW - I put an application on a house in Manassas.  If I don't get that one, I'm going to put one in on the Centreville house.  Was pretty nice inside... but bath vanities and some paint was pretty dated.. and the living room and family rooms were really small.  No basement either, which I found interesting, but it did have its good points too.

I'll keep you posted.

My triathlon club's monthly Happy Hour just happens to be the Friday before so we're going to an Irish bar and going a bit nuts. I've also bought Shamrock sprinkles to make St. Patrick's Day cake pops. I am trying to figure out how to make some pots 'o gold cake pops too.
