A Shout Out For Protein

I am 13 days out from an open hernia repair. After the surgery the incision looked the same as my revision scar except a bit smaller, maybe 4 or 5 inches. Today it is totally healed over, it looks like it did before the repair. You wouldn't know I just had surgery.
I get in between 150 to 200 grams of protein a day. I have to believe that is why I healed so quickly. The same thing happened after my first hernia repair but then the incision was much smaller. In fact, that incision was already starting to heal when I woke up in the recovery room.
Just a reminder if you are planning surgery to load on the the protein.
