Reflections at 6 months out
Congrats on your 6 month surgiversary!!!
The fact that you know what is working for you and what isn't, that you realize that you are in the malabsorption stage and know it will end, and that you admit that you have figured out how to use your tool by eating small amounts of useless carbs sounds to me like you are going to be successful after the honeymoon period is over. I think my honeymoon period lasted about 1 1/2 years.
I think weighing your food and eating small amounts has helped with your restriction. I am over 3 years out and I still have lots of restriction. I still eat very small meals spaced out. Do you have a sign for when you are full? I hiccup. I used to hate it but now I feel so blessed that my tool is still working.

I thought everyone had a sign. Some get a runny nose, runny eyes, and I get the hiccups. Maybe it's because you measure.
Carbs are the worst! It is so hard for most people to understand that you can work around your tool during the honeymoon period and still lose but when the honeymoon period is over you are stuck with bad habits that will come back to haunt you.

What an amazing trip you have been on. And I, too am impressed with how you have processed and stored your gained knowledge from your journey.
give your body some time before doing much with PS. It is amazing how mine is changing, even with no weight loss or gain and filling in some of the worst baggy places. Yeah, I am still going to have sags and bags but I am 63 and you are young enough for your skin to do some rebounding.

Congratulations on a successful 6 months. You have done great. You seem to have the mindset and thoughtfulness of someone who will be a long term success .
PS is a big step and I would allow yourself some time. I am about 18 months out and will probably have some done, since my skin isn't going to rebound anymore. The exercise and weights have really helped, but there is only so much that exercise can do.
