Aimee, I am so sorry that you have been going such a horrific experience. I hope that your hubby will be able to join you soon. I'm sure that extra weight is from all the IV fluids that they gave you. It will come off.

Oh they absolutely can. I was in the hospital for 36 hours and gained 10 pounds!

Sounds like you were in there for at least two days so 20-30 pounds is about right.
