Osteoporosis Damn It!

Very interesting topic.  My mother has severe osteoperosis - currently has 5 compression fractures of her spine, one where the vertebrae is less than 15% of its original height.  A very debilitating outcome.

I have osetepenia, and will be talking to all three of my docs about it soon. One doc recommended a bisphosphonate, but with my GI history and my athletics, I'd like to talk with my primary care doc this week.  I will take Gina's advice and up my calcium to 2000 mg of elemental from 1500, and look at my labs for vit K and D3.
