WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER!!
I had a very low "bad" carb day yesterday and planning on that again today. I kindof over did it on the weekend and even though carbs aren't a major problem for me I don't want them to get out of control. I can see how those of you that still have children at home sometimes eat carbs because it's usually faster and easier and your time is limited when it comes to you.
I've been on Maintenance 2 1/2 years and doing great!!!

Duodenal Switch 3/09
HW 255/GW 150/LW 119/122
First PT since my procedure. Not a good day for it because even with pain meds, I was sore when I walked in and thought he was going to kill me. I only have about 5 degrees more movement than before the procedure and my knee is tightening up already. So the next few weeks are going to be very painful, trying to push every bit of movement out that is possible. I may have to check with the Dr to see if there are different meds I can take because I seem to be in pain all the time, even with the meds. I did push the CPM machine to 100 degrees, which is good, but that is probably part of why I still hurt. And I have lost my straight so now I have to work on bend and straight. This is more of a full time job than trying to get your fluids and protein in early out from WLS.

went to see my PCM for wound check and BP check. BP is back to normal it was really low for a few days after surgery. wounds are healing and itch like crazy!
Go the end of March to see my surgeon. I am pretty sure I will leave my band empty for some time. I see him again in August for a 3 three checkup and at that time if I haven't gained then I will just stick with it empty.
I am really scared to eat meets!
hope everyone had a great long weekend
