Tired of everything

 Tazz I hear ya.
I'm an all or nothing gal...but I find that when I am feeling down I get even more controlling with everything and obsessed and that usually works against me because I end up losing control .
Better when everything is just chill and I'm doing what I usually do...my routine...my gym ...my food...my daily thing and that's a good balance...when more than a few things tip the scale I get stressed and then try to super control and then lose control...so I 'm hoping that given a day or two and getting over this cold I will feel better...yes the gym helps tremendously because of stress relief...and did I mention that I am in menopause !!!! so I have hot flashes all the time and
with a cold my temperature is completely whack...in march it will be a year without a period which i think is good because my period just stopped and never came back...but the sweats are a drag...
I completely understand your position...unfortunately you lost too much...so yeah you have to regain and that's a tough thing...it's a matter of trust...I don't know what I would do in your position...you are obviously doing the right thing and regaining slowly...it's just all very difficult sometimes..
yes it would be nice to be normal...but this is our lot in life and this is what we need to deal with...
luckily we are food addicts and not other substances....which could have happened to me easily...I gave up smoking 24 years ago and still think about it sometimes....so we are in pretty good shape and healthier than before....thanks for your support...SEAVIEW

OMG - I totally get you!  I too get tired of always worrying about everything I put in my mouth - what keeps me in line is my reactive hypoglycemia - my  body just doesn't like simple carbs.  I have to make my choice - like what I eat (carbs) and pay the price (not good) or not....

I realize you're not feeling good - take care of yourself and get better - the whole maintenance attitude will follow!

What makes me paranoid is that I did reach goal with my first WLS then started to regain.  I thought it was normal bounce back and I kept raising the bar on what high weight I would tolerate.  At first it was 125, then 130, 135, 145, 150...and I didn't do a thing.  I just thought it would reach a level it liked and stop gaining.  It never really did.  So now I need to decide how much is too much?  120? 130?  Because I am afraid to just let my body go where it wants because that just didn't happen last time.  I need to stay on top of it and pull in the reins with it goes above my high range.

{{{{{Hugs}}}}} to you Seaview.   Hope you are feeling better today.

I do know what you mean.  This is all consuming.  I know that there is no way I could have handled a stressful job, children and WLS all at the same time.  Sometimes I feel so selfish because so much of my time(and money) is devoted to after WLS things.  But, that being said, I would not trade it for one second of pre-WLS life.  It is still one of the best decisions I have ever made.  I have such a better quality of life now.

I'm so happy to read that you're feeling better.  It is so gorgeous out today.  The winds are fierce though!

I just walked an hour with a friend and always feel more energized afterwards.

Thank you Lee..yes it's been a good day...had my hair colored and cut shorter..which is nice...
now that it's grown back in and gotten curly thanks to menopause...I sat out in the warm sun for awhile and feel much better...it's amazing what can happen in a day and how much better I feel..I think I can't underestimante how hormones of menopause can give me dips in my moods...
I have to be more aware of it and also just learn to take it easy on myself when I have bad days...
it's the self beating up that takes it out of me...always a pleasure to hear from you Lee ....your walk sounds wonderful...yes it's windy...SEAVIEW

So glad to hear that you are feeling better. It is a beautiful, cold day in Northern Ca. Amazing what menopause does. I had a wave starting in my hair due to menopause and the VSG completed it.

I'm glad to hear you are feeling better!

When I'm sick carbs (in my mind) are the only thing that makes me feel better (at least that's what I tell myself).

Roz

God is walking with me every step of the way. Because of HIM this is possible!!

 Yeah Roz ...Thanks.
I am feeling better...back to 141 from 144...so my weight has dropped from not eating carbs..
it just shoots down like nothing when I cut back on carbs...also my cold is fading away...I was out
all day today and I'm fine...so all is well and on the mend. I didn't get that terrible chest congestion  others got...thank goodness I don't have to work so I can always just stay home and rest.
thanks Roz   ...SEAVIEW
