It's Been a Year
I haven't been on for some time. Life has taken over and I have been so busy. But I have been feeling great. Today has been 1 year since my life has changed forever. When I started this journey in May 2010, I weighed in at 220 lbs. At 5'2", that was alot of weight. No one believed me on how much I weighed because I carried it so well....so I was told. I weighed in at 190 lbs 1 year ago before they rolled me back for my surgery. Well this morning, I weighed 120.2. 70 lbs in a year and a total of 100 lbs since this journey started. I can't believe the changes that have taken place in my life because of this surgery. My gastroparesis has been resolved. I have not had any more issues with my stomach since I woke up from surgery. My blood pressure and cholesterol has been resolved. I haven't felt this good since high school and before I began gaining weight after the birth of my son. I have no regrets on having this surgery. I have my life back. I will be turning 40 in a few weeks and feel like I have a shot to make it another 40 years now. Before, I would tell you I would give myself 10 years. I miss having time to be on this board. Everyone here has such great advice and gives so much support. I hope that my life slows down soon and I have more time to be more suppotive of those on this forum.
Happy surgiversary!
