Good Morning LW Friends...
Yesterday I had a Endoscopy and when I awoke the nurse gave me a paper with the Drs. findings....I have a stricture @ anastamosis! I mentioned to the Dr. before he put me to sleep for this procedure that food was getting stuck in my esophagus and causing me pain...hence the Endoscopy...Can anyone tell me in English terms what I have and what is the solution...I would appreciate any info...thanks!!! Im one year out with my DS....Have a great weekend Everyone!!

Scar tissue (stricture) causing narrowing at the joining of intestines to duodenum? Not sure where the joining is but my diagrams indicate an anastamosis at the duodenum and where the intestine is brought up to join there. It could also mean a narrowing at the point where the esophagus joins the stomach/sleeve. I wish they could have dilated it while they were in there. Keep us posted and I hope you get this sorted out soon.

Thanks Gina for shedding some light on this subject!! Yes its really too bad the Dr. didnt dilate it while he was in there...but he told me prior to this procedure was he was just looking for the cause why food was getting stuck...I will have follow up appt within next two weeks to proceed from there...It sounds like it might be a narrowing point in the esophagus...keep you posted..and thanks again Gina.
