Friday Just for Fun, a day late

I guess I haven't caught on to the days very well being home all the time but here goes.

1.  What was your favorite present as a child?  Birthday or holiday.

2.  If you could travel anywhere for the holiday, where would you go?

3.  Real or artifical tree?  White lights or colored?

4.  How long do you leave your tree up?

1.  Well, I never got the pony I asked for until I bought Chili for me December 2009.  As a child, I got a puppy, toy fox terrier one year for Christmas and that was special.  I also remember a music box jewelry box that had a ballerina in it who twirled while the box played the yellow rose of Texas.

2.  As much as I love to travel, for the holidays this year, I am happy at home.

3.  Fake tree these days.  Used to have real ones and they are planted all over the farm.  I love colored lights but this new tree has white lights.  Couldn't find the combination of a nice tree with colored lights so we will see once it is up and decorated.  I still have tons of lights and could add some colored to it.

4.  DD's bday is 12-20 and we always put the tree up then when she was home.  Now we do it whenever but closer to Christmas, not right after Thanksgiving.  It will be down around the 1st of the year.

I remember being home after surgery, and some days I had to check the paper or the computer to figure out what day it was.
1. A stuffed Winnie the Pooh I got for Christmas when I was 8 years old. Had that thing forever!

2.  Not sure, not much of a traveler, but I think Disney might be fun especially during the holidays.

3. Love a real tree. Going to a local farm today to get one! So excited,  no snow but it still will be fun!  Right now we have colored lights.

4.  Unitl too many needles start dropping! Usually after the new year.

1)  Probably my first 10 speed bike!  There is a picture of me on Christman morning and  look s happy!!

2) to the town in England where we lived when I was a teenager.  I just love it there and Christmas was so fun there...magical.

3) Artificial tree as I am very allergic to real.  Love real trees but it is just not worth it.  I put my tree up this year BEFORE thanksgiving....I think I knew I would not be indulging in food this year so wanted MORE of Christmas without the food.

4)Not sure when I will take it down....usually after New Years....

1) I always loved getting a doll.

2) I would go to an all inclusive carribean resort.  No muss, no fuss!

3) Artificial trees have made life much easier, and we do colored lights.  Right now our tree has multiple colored lights, but in the past I've done monochrome.

4) Usually I have the tree up for 2-3 weeks, but this year we put it up much sooner, so I guess it'll be up for 4-5 weeks.

1.  Favorite present:  A Christmas gift from my aunt - shoes that strapped on with huge springs so I could jump like a kangaroo.

2.  If I could travel anywhere:  I'd travel up to heaven to see my Mom & Dad.

3.  Real or artificial tree:  Artificial, sister, grand daughter and grandson are all allergic to real trees.

4.  How long do I leave up the tree:  I usually take it down right after Christmas, before New Years  - and I dread it UGH!

Hi Price,
1.  My favorite present was for my birthday.  My dad and grandmother took me to a Braves ball game - I thought I was something!!

2.  Travel - We are talking about all going to Disney World next year around Thanksgiving - I think that would be a fun family vacation.

3.  Artificial - DH loves to have the tree up the day after Thanksgiving so we have not had very many real trees.

4.  I have been know to take my tree down on Christmas day!!  We used to leave ours up until after New Years but I have not done that in years.

2.  If you could travel anywhere for the holiday, where would you go?  France.   I went this past summer and miss all my family out there.

3.  Real or artifical tree?  White lights or colored?  I prefer real, but we have an artificial, with colored led lights

Price - this is good

1.  I don't recall my favorite present as a child.  We weren't into presents at our house.

2.  I love to stay home for the holidays.  I love to decorate the house with the traditions the kids love, and we have a great time as a family.

3.Real tree with tons of decorations.  Growing up, we were a glass ball and tinsel family, and DH's family was lots of eclectic ornaments.  We are the electic type...

4.  Our tree usually goes up about 2 weeks before Christmas, and comes down on New Year's day.
