Weight gain from Estrogen creme??
Hi all! Know I haven't posted forever, over 3 year and 8 months out, weight has been stable, and will admit to some extra carbs over the holiday...but the weight seems to be on an upward slide and even with watching my eating and exercise, still having problems. The only new thing is that I was on vagifem and now on Estrace.....Like the Estrace overall, but this weight thing is pretty new, has anyone else had issues like this? I do plan to watch the eating and exercise....thinking of backing off on the Estrace some....what is the experience of those of you more "mature" WLS women?
I have been using Vagifem for about a year now and it hasn't affected my weight. I would focus on the carbs. It seems common for post ops to have some bounce back after the 2nd or 3rd year. The malabsorption ends so even if you were eating the same you might regain some weight.
Why don't you check out Miles and Menus to see what others are eating and maybe post there yourself if you want.

I have also been using the Vagifem and getting testosterone a little over a year now and no weight gain from it.
I did gain a couple of pounds when I added cookies and more carbs, but it came right back off when I stopped them.
I don't know anything about Estrace. Could you go back to the Vagifem?

Had no problem with the Vagifem...but it didnt' work very well either. The Estrace is working great (not to go into too many details!), so much better than the other things I have used....but need to get a handle on the weight gain...I was too the weight that felt like me....and this is too much. Another good reason for post ops to check the scale occasionally!
