Can get upstairs without getting short of breath.
My knees don't hurt.
My size large clothes, from way back when, now fit.
I had to give away all my old clothes and toss all my old underwear.

My shoes are looser.

I didn't look out of place at Abercrombie & Fitch with my 13 year old yesterday.

I have to slide my seat forward in the car because my stomach no longer gets in the way of the steering wheel.

I fit in my dining room chairs (the ones with arms) and don't lift them with my butt when I stand up.

I look good in skinny jeans and riding boots.

Bad...I have to get my wedding & engagement rings re-sized, they fell off yesterday and I am afraid to wear them in case I lose them...I feel naked, BUT I"M HAPPY.

Down 70 lbs.

Wow! You are changing so fast. I took months to have those changes. You rock!

It keeps getting better, so enjoy the ride.

WOW - congratulations!  Those are great NSV's.

I recommend keeping your list and looking back on it, and adding to it as you go.  Being 3 years out I don't remember all the little things I was super excited about early out.  I wish I could go back and look at those now.

These things that you listed are something to always remember.  It made me stop and think about some successes along this way for me too.  I'd like to add to your list below:

Being able to tie my tennis shoes without holding my breath and the laces are not tied off to the side they're smack dab in the middle!

Thanks for the reminders!  And congratulations to you!

Thank you everyone. I was thinking the same thing, to keep this post and look back on it as a reminder in the future of all the things I could not do and what drove me to have wls. @ melizabeth, I forgot that one, but it's so true and so great that we can do that now. The little things that other people take for granted we appreciate so much.

Congratulations on such wonderful NSVs. I remember some of those. I smiled about sliding the driver's side seat forward. I remember, when I had to do that, because my stomach wasn't in the way.

It just keeps getting better.

You're doing great!  I especially like the one about the chair not lifting up when you stand up.  It is SO great to fit into chairs again.
