I'm new to you but y'all aren't new to me!
Hi everyone – I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Gwen and I’m from the Seattle area by way of Texas. I have been following your board for the past 6 months as I wade through my insurance requirements. At my very 1st nutritionist visit she suggested I check out this site. I wandered around the different forums but quickly found y’all. I rarely miss a day of checking out what is going on, so I already feel like I know you. They have already set a date of Jan 12th for my VSG, just need the final nod from insurance. At this point I’m much more excited than apprehensive but know the closer I get that may change. My DH is trying to be supportive but I don’t think he has any idea how this is going to change our lives (which has revolved around the kitchen for the past 30 years). Anyway, I know I’ll be depending on y’all for much moral support and just wanted to finally join in on the fun and journey.
I’m looking forward to being part of the gang!

About DH and change. Some seem to change and get healtier themselves, others seem to adapt and let us do our thing while they continue to do theirs. My DH is in the latter group. He eats the good things I cook and then still gets in his goodies, from pancakes to sweetrolls. It's a process and you two will figure out what works for you.

I honestly don't think I would have fared as successfully without this support group. I have often found myself wondering about something or other and BAM! Somebody asks it before I can! So helpful.
Be sure to check in often and Good luck in your journey. Strap yourself in for an amazing ride!
Please be sure to let us know how things are going and ask away on any questions you have.
