Hello LW's!!! I've been MIA for a very long time but it's all for very good reasons!

Since September I have been busy busy busy!!! Had lots of preperations and appointments in anticipation of getting a surgery date. Finally in October I was set - SURGERY DATE IS JANUARY 11!!!

Needless to say slowing down wasn't an option after getting that date. I've had so much to do! First on the agenda: carpal tunnel surgery on both my hands! Left one has been done and right one is being done 12/13. But I had to get these done prior to WLS. And I'm amazed at the immediate relief I've had.

On top of all of my WLS preperation my husband returns from an 8 month deployment this weekend!!! This will most likely be his last deployment so between doctor's appointments and surgery I've been trying to plan a huge party complete with out of town guests!!
Basically I'm getting pulled in every direction

But back to WLS. I'm bery exicted and I think one the chaos of homecoming is gone that my nerves will set in. Pre-op diet starts 12/28 (at least I get to enjoy Christmas!!!). It seems like my surgery will be here in the blink of any eye. But I couldn't be happier, I can wait to be healthier and happier for my husband, my son, my family and my friends. I can't wait for 2012!!

I hope you are all doing well and staying positive! Enjoy your holidays!!

Sounds like you have a full plate to keep you busy before WLS.  It will be here before you know it.  Enjoy hubby coming home and the holidays, then get ready for a wonderful journey.

So happy your DH is coming home. What a great holiday you and your family will have. Thanks for his and your service to our country.

Enjoy your holidays. Like others have said the time will fly by, especially with everything you have going on right now. Rest when you can before and after surgery.

Congrats!
