Menus and Miles Friday Dec. 9th

I missed my Carriage Club Christmas party last weekend.  Just didn't feel up to traveling an hour each way, plus the party.  I have a tea on Sunday I hope I can get to so I can see everyone before the holiday.  My client Christmas party is next Thurs.  My staff had handled the whole thing and I just have to bring a desert.  I think I will do a SF chocolate trifle because they are so pretty and it is the only time I have enough folks to eat at least most of it.

I've really been on a peanut butter kick lately.  By makeing the protein peanut butter, I feel like I am eating a whole lot when it is only 1T of peanut butter and mostly protein powder.

I ended up ordering from Lucky vitamin instead of your allstar place.  If you order over 100, you get free shipping and I could do that with different flavors instead of 2 lemon teas.  The prices otherwise were the same.  I ordered a mint cookie this time, since all you who have tried it loved it.  I meant to see if they had SF syrups but totally forgot.  I still want to do eggnog sometimes.

I've never heard of Lucky Vitamin.  I'll have to check that out!  I was excited about the 125.00 but a hundred sounds even better!    I bet your friends missed you at the Christmas party. 

I've tried putting PB in my drinks but I haven't been successful at it.  I was thinking maybe I'd try melting the PB in the microwave first.

I lOVE homemade bean soup....especially ham and bean but it's so salty that I feel bloated for a few days after the pot is gone.  You made me hungry for it so I might just have to sacrifice the  numbers on the scale....LOL

Hi Roz,
Had my annual(female) doctors appointment this morning.  All went well.  She told me how proud she was of me for doing what I did to get control of my weight.  She has been so supportive of my decision.

We went to the Fire Department Christmas party Tuesday night.  It was a great time, got to see a lot of people we only see once a year.  Fire Departments are so much like family with each other and I miss seeing a lot of them since DH retired.  No other parties that I can think of.  We were invited to one of the Fire Dept. shift parties, but I doubt we will go to that.

My goal for today is NO SUGAR!!  So far (5:30pm) I have been successful!!  I have to go in to work tomorrow because we have an author coming to speak tomorrow afternoon.

I feel that way about my DH's Christmas party too.  That's the only time I get to see the other wives. 

My DH worked for Pepsi Cola for 18 years  and one of the guys had a retirement party and it was so nice to see everyone. Even though it's been 20 years since he left the company it was as though it was yesterday.   I think it's because we all grew up together back in the good old days.

Sounds like you did good with the no sugar.  I've got to have no fruit today.  I think it's the clementines that are causing me heartburn.
