OT Tazzie Update Good News XPost Also an Update on Me

Just got the call from the vet's office.  The biopsy came back.  The cells were precancerous so it was caught in time and he expects a full recovery!  Thank you everyone for your prayers and well wishes!

I also went to my surgeon's today.  My weight is stable so he just wants me to continue doing what I am doing.
Also, my hernia is back so I will have to have surgery again.  He wants me to quit smoking (I know) which is in the works since I am taking Chantix and down to 1/2 a pack a day.  When I finish this pack I will quit so he will see me in a month and do a nicotine test and schedule my surgery.  I am not happy about this but if I heal as fast as I did last time it shouldn't be too bad.
Also wants me to have an endoscopy to check for an ulcer since I have been having pain.

I'm so happy to hear the news from the vet!  I'm sure that your dog will make a speedy recovery, and it's great that everything was caught in time.  Although there's pain now, it's a lot better than cancer.

Also nice to hear that you and your doc are having good communications, and that your weight has stabilized.  I'm sure you'll gain a little more with cutting out the smoking.  Good luck on that!!!

That is what my surgeon says, too, that I will gain weight after I quit smoking.  I'm not too sure about that because last time I quit, after my surgery, I continued to lose weight but I will see.
Thanks for the good wishes.

I am so glad it was precancerous and she will be ok.  I know how much our Little Willie means to us.

When I quit smoking I gained about 25 pounds-  this was probably 20 years ago.  I know how hard it is.

Great news about the little one.

I'll swing for you about quitting smoking.  I know it will be hard but you deserve to be as healthy as possible and it will help.

I had 2 large hernias repaired when they did my RNY and 2 little ones repaired a few weeks ago.  You should be fine, you know the surgery drill.  Not smoking will help your recovery greatly.

Hurray for weight stablizing.
