Newbie saying hello!
Hi all -
I've lurked here for a few months, and post every once in a while on the VSG board, but figured it was time I came out of hiding over here on the lightweights board. I had my sleeve surgery on 11/16, and after arough couple of days in the hospital, have had a great recovery so far. I've been really happy with my progress over the last couple of weeks. I am currently down 33 lbs from my highest weight (267!!) and 20 lbs from my surgery weight. I'm very tall 5'11", so that gave me a fairly low BMI (36 I think) to start with, even though I was up there in lbs.
I'm also thrilled to say that after my doctor's appointment last night, I am no longer on the blood pressure meds I've been taking for the last 5 years! My BP was totally normal and as long as it stays that way over the next couple of weeks, it's bye bye to those meds forever!
I'm so happy I made the decision to have surgery, and I have to say that the information and support that I've gained being on this board daily has played a huge part in my early success. I know I still have a long way to go, and it won't always be this easy, but I feel like I'm in the right mindset to stay the course, stick to the plan and get the results I want.
So...HELLO! Please feel free to drop me a line or 'friend' me, I'm excited to be part of this community.
