Has anyone had their hair texture change after WLS ? m ine went from wavy to downright curly ! ( and DRY ! )
Part of me always wanted ringlets .... but I don't BEGIN to know how to make em .in a way that's fast, easy and also healthy for the hair ...
right now I have a bad case of triangle head ( where the hair stands so far out from Ur head U look like a relative of Bozo )

don't get me wrong its WAYYY better than having too little hair ...

but honestly I'm having a problem with getting enough SHINE ...I put TONS of expensive split end mender and argan oil and fructis " silky " leave in conditioning spray and THEN protective shine promoting UV sunscreened silicone and well .... it looks I didn't do ANYTHING ...
it looks healthy but HUGE and the oil makes it get dirty real fast ....
any suggestions how to spilt this fuzz into LOCKS ? and make it shiny looking .. without looking like a Jherri Curl escaped from the eighties lol?

Back in August, I became part of the "no poo (shampoo)" movement. You elimenate any hair products from your use. No shampoo, conditioner, moose, spray, and so on and so on. You wash your hair with baking soda and water and rinse with either a vinager or lemon juice and water mix. Although my hair is really thin and I seem to have constant bed head at this point from sitting/laying around, I like the effect. I LOVE not being a slave to all that stuff and having 20 bottles of this and that that get used 2 x a year. My hair is straight so I don't know what it would do with curls but it may be worth a try. You can google it for more information but it is pretty simple.

Thanks Price that sounds really interesting if a bit scarey
for someone who couldnt make a living for literally YEARS if their hair broke off lol ...
but in that vein ... has someone tried the shampooless WEN system they're always infomercialing on TV ?
it actually looks pretty good to me ...
I remember we met a Jamican sailor in the Azores on our transatlantic crossing... who used some kind of natural PLANT only to shampoo his dreadlocks ... and swore that it kept the natural oils in while effectively cleaning the hair . He even showed me the plant when we were hiking around the island .. which means its not tropical I don't believe since the Azores are more or less temperate , right ?
Anyone know what he was talking about ?

I went to a beauty supply store and bought a semi-permanent clear hair glosser. It has worked well in putting shine and texture in my hair. Of course, I keep my hair really short so might not be much help. You could use one of those special gels for curly hair, just put in hair and scrunch it, blow dry with a defuser.
