Advice needed on holiday party outfit--xpost

I need some advice on a dress I am wearing to a holiday party this weekend.  Its a dark red short dress that I got from Victoria's Secret (link below).  I am going to wear black stilletto heels with it.  Here is my question:

Do I wear sheer tan stockings with it or do I go with bare legs?  I am tanning so pastey white legs won't be a problem but I wasn't sure if i should go with or without stockings. 

Thoughts?

cute dess! if you can get away without stockings, I would go for it.  I could never get away with it, mostly because the snow white legs, but the stockings hold in the sharpei knees too!  lol....  I think you could rock that dress....have a great time!                              Joan

dress is cute and you will rock it! I think bare legs or hose  either one would be fine. Hose ARE back in style this year,nude ones.

Glad you are not planning to wear black hose with a red dress. Nothing looks more whorish to me than black hose with a red dress and or black hose with red shoes!

Oh my gosh!  I hate when people wear black stockings with a red dress!  yuck!  too funny!

Not sure where you live, but up here in the "great white  north", hose would be almost necessary this time of year, but last summer - no, no hose! 

I also find that with MY legs hose help hold them together and minimize the wiggling and jiggling...

Go with what you're comfortable wearing - I'm sure either way will look great!

If you want to look super HOT then NO nylons for sure, especially if you've been tanning.  Super cute dress.  They certainly will notice you when you enter the room.  Have a great time!

Being the freeze baby that I am, I would be wearing hose.

But if you are not an ice queen, like myself, bare legs would be smokin in that hot dress!!!

Thanks so much for the input!  My legs are in pretty great shape so I dont necessarily need the hose to hold the loose skin in place --but I wouldn't mind that for my tummy!  --I think I might go without hose and just use a shiney moisturizer and throw on a spanx for the tummy control!

I love the dress!!  I hope you will share pictures with us.  I would have to wear hose but my legs are pasty white and tanning only makes more age spots-yuck...  If I could, I would go without the hose.
