Hang in there!
My hair was really thick but in the front I had alot of thinning especially. I could see my scalp. Even my close friends and family would ask me about it.
But the good news is that at about 18 months, its just about back to its original glory. Keep up with your protein and biotin will help with regrowth.

 

Mine started late but kept going.  I do have regrowth but it is still thin.  It was alway fine, but never quite this thin.

I don't know of anyone who  still has thin hair after going through the losing/regrowth period.  It does last about 3 months.

I had a wig all picked out just in case I lost to much.  Fortunately I never needed it because I hate to even wear hats.   I lost hair for about 3 months and got pretty thin but no bald spots.  After it slowed down I started taking Biotin to help with the regrowth (it won't prevent the loss) and I used Nioxin Shampoo and Conditioner to help get it healthy.  I also increased my Protein for a time.  My hair is thicker than it's ever been and it actually even has some body in it.

Weird thing about my hair is that it looks thicker even though it's falling out!  My hair is usually very heavy and thick so I think it's an illusion caused by my hair being lighter and being able to bounce up a bit.  Should be easier getting a comb though it now.  Usually I can only comb it while wet.

I think it may be losing its shine though.  My hair (guess was my best feature) was always pretty shiny and it seems a bit dull now.  Don't know what to do about that. 

Yes, besides falling out mine has also dulled. It used to be my best feature too. Certainly not any more..... wahhhhhh! But I have hope now.... that as I recover to my former glory ( LOL) it will also recover!
