Good Morning. Start playing your favorite holiday music

Does it help put you in the spirit of the holidays? I just started up one of my favorite Christmas CDs and I'm hoping it puts me into the spirit. I don't want to go to the stores and have to listen to the same old tired tapes play over and over again. So, I'll play my music and shop online this weekend.

We have a traditional Chinese baby welcoming this evening. Apparently, at one month post-delivery the baby and the new mom make an appearance back into the community and everyone welcomes the new baby. Learning Chinese customs...I'm glad they are tolerant of us ignorant Americans. No idea if I should wear something red for good luck and prosperity...that seems to be a theme. I guess I'd better Google it.

I hope y'all have a great weekend. What's on your to-do list?

DD and I are hitting a mall or two for Christmas shopping. I have a list of what I'm looking for, so hopefully it will go ok. I generally dislike malls intensely and even more so during the holidays.

Love the idea of a baby welcoming.

Usually love listening to my christmas music, but just dont seem in the mood this year, yet. I hope I am not going to be a grinch! Maybe I need to crank some up while I bake my son his 16th birthday cake!
Party today. So baking and cleaning on the agenda. On my ssecond protein coffee of the day.

Hope I hold out. Have a rotten cold and worked 13 hours thursday and friday. Feeling a little worn out.

Happy saturday to all!

I like John Lennon singing "So this is Christmas" ...
It makes me want to hug everyone I know and help everyone I can.

Thanks for that Gina!  I am having a hard time getting in the holiday spirit!  I put on that music today while my hubby took our son to the park and actually got some on line shopping done. I feel a bit better now.  I will be doing a lot of GC's this year given the cir****tance and am thankful that my son was just about done before my surgery....Happy shopping.

NO - I DON'T want to hear Christmas music YET.  Even though its December (I have to keep reminding myself this).  For some reason I think that if there's NO music in the stores, the Christmas isn't just around the corner!!

My and Tom's family Christmas is in 2 weeks.  For actual Christmas we will be in Florida, then going on a cruise, then back in florida for a total of 2 weeks!

I love Christmas music and it definently helps me get into the Christmas spirit.

The baby welcoming sounds like a wonderful tradition.  Hope you had a good time.
