Good for you...it's all about what works!
I'm the same way. I think because it takes me longer to drink my shake than it does to eat the little bit that I can get down from not eating for hours.

I start with my protein decaf coffees in the morning around 6-7am but am ready for solid food by 9 or so. Then I am good to go until noon. Protein drinks really don't fill be up much but at least make me feel good about getting them in. Lately, while trying to up my protein for healing, I am doing 3 a day plus my 3-4 meals.

I have a Protein Decaf Coffee first thing in the morning, then a regular decaf coffee and then a Lemon Tea Protein Drink - all before lunch. I very rarely eat anything prior to lunch and I'm not hungry in the mornings. I would just rather drink in the mornings.
My two protein drinks seem to do the trick for me.

I think getting my protein coffee in the AM helps also. It's pretty filling and counts as fluid. I wish I liked protein drinks that you could mix with water--but unjury chocolate is the only protein my taste buds seem to like. I can drink it in Lactaid or in coffee, but usually put it in decaf coffee. Now that it's getting a little cooler here, I'm going to try adding it in the evenings. Roz is right--it's about what works for you.
