Suspect dumping pain

Hi all,  it's been a while since I've posted.  I thinking I'm having savers dumping pain.  I was bad last night and ate a cupcake and today I've got horrific stomach pain very high up near the sternum area and also have lots of bowel motions today.  Not exactly diareah but close too it.  I'm at work and just feel horrible and might endure going home early I think.  A colleague here artwork says I should take charcoal tablets to ease the pain.  Has anyone of you guys tried that stuff?

Cheers from Karin (in Oz)

I've never tried charcoal tablets, but I wanted to send you a quick message in hopes that you're feeling better now.  A group hug from us all....

I don't dump but I thought that dumping happened closer to the eating of whatever than the night before.  There have been some really nasty stomach bugs going around.

One way or the other, I hope you feel better soon.  Knock on wood, I haven't been sick since surgery so haven't had to figure out what to take.  I don't know about the charcoal, never heard of that.

Thanks guys for your kind thoughts. I always thought dumping happened quickly too.  Not sure what has happened but I know it scares me away from muffins.  The charcoal tablets worked a treat and stopped the pain within an hour.  They are supposed to absorb flatulence so I guess that's what they did. :)

I'm glad you are feeling better!  I really don't think you were dumping that many hours later.  Loose bowels maybe from the extra fat but not the pain.  Do you still have your gall bladder?  It happens hours later and it is really painful.

I've never heard of charcoal tablets but I'm going to check it out.

I'm so glad you're feeling better.  I have never used charcoal but do keep Papaya enzymes for those rare digestive disturbances.

They have been talking about Papaya and it's benefits a lot over here in Australia lately so I might look into that a bit more. The charcoal tablets helped a lot but I really don't know what caused the problem but it's all good now.
