Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!    Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER!!

I just realized yesterday when I was at the grocery store that all of those candy bars glaring at me while standing in the check out line are very tempting!   I never thought of it before but I glare right back and I want one!!!  If it weren't for my tool and knowing that if I have one it would make my heart race and bring on a heat flash I'd probably fall back into the old habit of buying one every trip.  I LOVE MY RNY!!!

Yesterday, I did great.

Today:
B:  8 oz fat-free lactaid with 1 scoop Isopure Vanilla (33 protein)
AM Meds and Vits:  Done
L:  1 oz 75% reduced fat cheddar cheese (9 protein)
S:  2 oz thin-sliced roast beef (18 protein) with 2 tsp mayonaise
Afternoon Vits - Done
D:  Tentative 2 oz Talapia with 2 sesame crackers (14 protein)

Miles:  Tentative 3 miles, 45 min eliptical.

You did do good!!  Every day will get easier!!!  I'd really like to see you get 1 more Protein drink in though.  We don't absorb all of the Protein we get from food so you probably aren't hitting your minimum of 60g.

Things that tempt me are Cheetos and pistachios and peanuts...

I give in every now and then, and then get tired of them.

You haven't listed Cheetos lately Gina.  You would think the nuts would be good for you with the extra fats and proteins but I know it's hard for me to stop unless I buy the small individual bags.

My major one is Cheezits and didn't my little stinker DGD take some to the competition and I had a handful....boy they were good!

Concord grape pie...wow that sounds yummy!  I love the concord grapes.

I think I have everything done that HAS to be done before my surgery tomorrow.  I have to be there at 5am so you won't hear from me early but they have WiFi so I will take the computer.  Maybe Thurs or Fri I will get back to see you guys.

Hi Roz,
I forgot to take my turkey out of the freezer last night.  I woke up in the middle of the night and had to get up and take it out.  Not sure if it will thaw before tomorrow afternoon, I might have to put it in some water tomorrow afternoon.

Sweets are getting to me.  I just can't have them around.

I'm hoping with all of my extended family coming that staying out of the pie won't be a major challenge.  It was my brother who kept telling me stories before my WLS about people he knew that gained their weight back.  I hope those thoughts are enough to make me behave!!
