Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!    Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER!!

Are you ready for the holidays to begin?  After we went to bed last night I remembered we hadn't taken the turkey out to thaw.  I made DH get out of bed to get it out of the basement freezer while I rearranged the fridge.  I think I'm going to have to thaw it in water to have it ready for turkey day.  No matter how prepared I am there is always something!

Nothing I could eat at the comp yesterday so I was glad I had my jerky and Protein drinks.  DH came later in the day so he stopped and got me chili from Wendy's.  Teams did good.  Diamonds took Grand Champions of the comp.  That is a major plus when it's a local comp.

I've been wanting to buy some pistachios...I keep hearing really healthy things about them!

DH says the turkey will be ready in time for cooking...I'm going to trust him!

Accountablity is one of keys to being successful!!   Most of my friends who have had WLS have gained back more than a few pounds because they are trying to do it on their own and I truly believe that everyone needs some kind of support group.  The LW board is my support group...Thanks for being here!!

Good Menu!  You could use another Protein drink though.

Hi Roz,
I was just thinking I should have taken the turkey out last night.  I'll have to try and remember to do it when I get home today.  I forgot to get my chicken parts that I boil for my broth and dumplings, so I'll have to go back to the store tomorrow.  I get my ham from a meat store, so I need to do that tomorrow or Wednesday.  I need to sit down and make a list or I'll forget something I'm suppose to be making!!

Congratulations on the win yesterday.

B:  Protein Decaf coffee
S:  Decaf Coffee
S:  Lemon Tea Protein Drink
L:  Small Wendy's chili w/ cheese

I got off Friday early to go shopping and was mixing my afternoon protein drink as I walked out the door at home and realized that I had mixed my Cappuccino protein in my tea....  I drank it anyway.  Not very tasty.

This is the first year I've been prepared but I might have a break down if I Thursday comes and I forgot something....LOL  I've went over and over my menu in my head so many times.

So Proud of our girls!!  My DD did screw up and two of her teams had something illegal in their routines and they didn't place very well, but we are glad it was local comp. and she will get it changed before the next one.  The one thing was something that another one of her teams used all last year and they never got called out on it at a single comp.

Good Menu!

I'm still cooking to get ready to be gone and have stuff when I get home from the hospital.  Today is chicken chili.  Haven't made it before so I am kind of winging it, not too good at following recipes.

We put the old horse, Dancer, down this morning.  My sister came Sat from Va since he was hers.  It was sad but we were both sure that we did the right thing.  I will miss him.  He has been here for about 10 yrs and it won't be the same without him.

2 more days til surgery so still catching up on last minute things.

Meals
decaf protein coffee  36g
2 eggs  13g
chicken to go in the chicken chili 25g
left over roast beef  24g
chicken chili  14g
protein shake  36g

totals
calories  1031
protein  143
carbs  29net

The tracker I use (on this site) has no fiber listed for Wendy's chili.  I always use that one for my homemade chili although my is meatier and with more beans so I imagine the carbs are a little less and maybe the protein a little higher.
