WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER!!

Happy Friday!!  Are you cooking for Thanksgiving?  I'm cooking but having it at my DD's house because she has a finished basement.  We are having at least 16 people over but probably more.  I never know for sure until that day but I make plenty so it doesn't matter.  I love having Thanksgiving. To me it's the easiet holiday because it's during the week and it's  not a hectic day like Christmas or Easter.   After dinner everyone will looks through all fo the sale ads and starts making their Christmas lists and then the Season begins.....!!!

I hope your little one is feeling better by now and no one else got the flu!!

If you make a new post asking for a snack idea you will probably get some suggestions.  Most of the snacks I make are ones for the family not me.

I'm glad you are experimenting with the Protein and finding something you like.

You only have a few more days to go Price!  Just like WLS getting your knee fixed is going to make life so much better for you.

You probably won't feel up to Thanksgiving dinner.  How many days are you in the hospital?

Good Menu as usual!

They say 3-5 and then home or rehab.  Everyone yesterday who has had it swears by going to rehab.  My house isn't set up very well for walkiing, etc.  We'll see. DH and DS are going to my best friends for Thanksgiving dinner and hopefully will bring me a plate.  By Friday at least, I should be eating ok, probably Thurs.  After all, it isn't my stomach this time.  LOL

Thanksgiving is also one of my favorite holidays.  The whole family and extended family usually go over to my Mom's and help her cook.  We watch the parades with the kids and look through black Friday ads and get ready for the marathon weekend of shopping :)  Then we have lunch.

That's great you all help your Mom cook!!  I don't get much help but I really don't mind because after all of these years it's a pretty easy task for me.  Since we are serving everything at my DD's everyone will help clean up which is a major improvement over having them all leave me with the mess....LOL.

Are you going to be able to eat a little on Thanksgiving?

Hi guys,
I'm cooking but I will try to take some shortcuts. My family only likes dark meat, so I'm baking 9 turkey legs. I already have my mashed cauliflower from Ruby Tuesdays in the freezer. I have all the makings for green bean casserole. Still need rolls and scalloped potatoes for everyone else. Oh! I'm fixing cornbread stuffing this year hoping I can eat it since it will have less gluten in it than regular bread stuffing. I have some jars of turkey gravy...I'm thinking of experimenting and trying to make some turkey gravy with gluten free baking mix. And, I have 3 pies that DH bought before they were all picked through at the store.

MENU: (DS Maintenance Mode)

S - popcorn
L - protein shake (30g)

S - salad and some carrot sticks with ranch dressing
D - cheese burger and taters
S - CarbSmart ice cream
