Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!    Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER!!

WOW...I've had a busy morning.  Worked all morning on trying to find info for our clients that need help with Christmas gifts, meals, etc.

DH got his bloodwork back yesterday and his sugar was high.  He had to go again this morning and have more bloodwork done.  I wouldn't be at all surprised if the test comes back the same.  He eats so much bread and sweets.

I got my latest order of Protein in.  I ordered it from allstarhealth.com.  They had the lowest price on the Syntrax, free postage over $125.00, and I got it in 2 days.    I was leary about ordering from a new company but they did good!

Hi Roz,
I hope I only have to work 1/2 day tomorrow.  I want to go start doing some shopping tomorrow afternoon.

Hope your DH's blood work is better.  My DH eats lots of bread and sweets also.  Before he retired, he never ate anything sweet we could have it in the house forever and he just never touched it.  Now he could sit and eat an entire gallon of ice cream in one sitting!!  He probably weighs more than he ever has, but still within a normal range his PCP says....  Atleast he is walking almost everyday now.

Here's the plan today:

Very late breakfast, I had my labs drawn for my PCP this morning.
B:  Protein Decaf Coffee
S:  Decaf Coffee
S:  Lemon Tea Protein Drink
L:  1/2 piece Parmasean Crusted Talapia, 1 Turkey Lasagna(Made with wonton wrappers), turnip root chips
S:  Lemon Tea Protein Drink
D:  No Idea - Board meeting tonight and we they will feed us something
S:  Hopefully nothing

Vitamins:  Morning Done
Water/Fluids:  60 ozs so far
Miles:  None today

I just called the Dr. to see if they had the results and I had to leave a message.  His heart Dr. called and his good/bad cholesterols aren't in the good range either.  He started walking on the treadmill last night and I'm going to start keeping a better eye on what he eats.  He plays softball all summer and works around the house but winter comes he is a hermit and that's when he starts putting on weight.

Good luck with your shopping!

I just heard from the Dr. and his sugar is at 113 which they said is a little high.  They are sending him a diabetic diet and want him to lose weight.  He blamed me and said I told the Dr. to say that and I said "of course I did and I had them change the test results too"!  This is going to be a loooong weekend!!

Having a good day !  Still haven't heard from my surgeon's nurse about time off :(
For breakfast I tried a new protien from GNC, it mixed well but didn't test good in plain water, I will try it again when I can drink milk, if I still don't like it I'll take it back.
B-GNC Pro Vanilla Prot Shake
L-Unjury Choc Prot Shake
D-Unjury Choc Prot Shake
Water, Water, Water
I don't feel like snacks today, I get so full from the shakes.
Have a good day everyone !

Is it the GNC Pro Performance?  I use their Chocolate every day in water (I don't like milky protein shakes).  Sometimes I add SF DaVinci Syrups or another flavor of Protein.  I don't like vanilla protein but I use to buy the cookies and cream and it wasn't bad.

Snacks aren't necessary...actually they lead to bad habits.

I haven't heard of that dealer but I'll have to check them out.  Need a good, cheap place for the lemon tea

My DH also eats a lot of sweets and breads.  Thank goodness I don't like the kinds he eats.

I've been stuck at the computer all day because it is very cold and windy out.  I did the horses by myself (lifting restriction changed to allow for lightweight stuff) and I love my horses and barn.  It is going to be hard to not be able to be around them for a while after by new knee.

I'm still upping protein before surgery.  180 seems like a lot but I want all the healing power I can get.

Meals
decaf protein coffee  36g
egg, turkey bacon  10g
1/2 low carb wrap with roast beef, cheese, lettuce  32g
fuzzy navel/vanilla drink  23g
protein peanut butter  28g
chicken, butternut squash  26g
protein drink  24g

totals
calories  1238
protein  180
carbs  32net

I don't think the Syntrax is cheap anywhere but when I compare it to the amount of money I spent on junk food before WLS it's a bargin.  They offered free postage on my whole order because I  bought 2 jugs of the Lemon Tea.  Netrition.com has raised their prices and supplementwarehouse.com charges postage.

It will probably take awhile for your knee to heal but I bet it won't be as long as it would have taken before losing all of that weight.  Just think how great you are going to feel after it's healed!

I just heard from the Dr. and his sugar is still up a little (113).  They want him to lose some weight and he thinks I'm the one to put the bug in their ear.  I said of course, I changed the test results too!

How do you make the protein peanut butter?
