WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER!!

1/2 way to the weekend!   Do you prepare your weekend meals ahead or do you prepare on the weekend for the coming week?  I usually do my grocery shopping on the weekends and I keep meals in mind but I don't prepare ahead.  I should do that then we wouldn't eat so late at night.

Hi Roz,
Beef tips sound good!!  I always forget about them.
I try to cook on the weekends because I do so much better the next week when I already have it for dinner and lunch and all I have to do is pick something and fill my bowl or plate.  I usually go to the store on Friday afternoon or Saturday.

Here's todays plan:

S:  Lemon Tea Protein Drink
D:  Baked Parmasean Crusted Talapia, Turnip Root Chips
S:  No Sugar Added Fruit ****tail, whip cream

We ended up not having the beef tips so I'm planning on having them tonight.  He had to fast again last night for his blood test and DD needed me to run some errands for her so we had KFC.

I need to start making things and freezing them.  Life would be so much easier in the evenings and less chance to grab fast food because I'm tired.

I'll check out those crackers...thanks!

Good Menu!   You still stay pretty carb free don't you?

I wish I stayed carb free.  I made corn bread muffins this weekend and had 2 a day almost every day!!  I had one for lunch today but went home and ate something else instead.

I love carbs & sweets - they are my bad addiction......  I need to try and get off of them but it is so hard.  I do most of this at night after I get home.  It is not nearly as bad as it used to be, but I can see that bad habit creeping back in!!

Went to dance class last night for 1.5 hours.  Good workout.  Walk/run tonight after work for an hour.

B: hard boiled egg
S: protein coffee
L: chicken w broth + LF cottage cheese
S: 1 oz cheddar cheese
D: thawed out some wheat spagetti w pasta sauce

I cook complicated meals mostly on the weekends and leave out 2-3 servings and freeze the rest into individual or a days worth of servings.  If I am craving something; however, I will cook it mid week.  I'll also cook out steak and chicken breasts on the grill during the week.  This week I pulled out sloppy jo meat for two  lunches and some shredded chicken breast I froze with some broth for today and tomorrows lunch.  I really do a lot of cooking for someone cooking for just one.  I've learned a lot of things I didn't think would freeze well really do.

Freezing always worries me.  I never had any room in my old fridge but I have a decent freezer in my new one so I was thinking I need to figure this freezing stuff all out.

Good Menu!

Our grocery store has the best rotisserie chicken for under $5.00.  You can't really beat that for a fast meal and DH loves it.  Last night I got KFC and when I got home the order was wrong for the 2nd time this month.

Hope you finished your menu off as strong as you started!
