Hey friends, are the Champion protein shakes thick?

Or not so much?  I need to drink at least 3 a day, preferably 4, and I figure, if I have a life of protein drinks in front of me, I might as well check out whatever kinds come in a 5 pound tub for a decent price!~  :}  Or a 2 pound tub with a lot of servings for a decent price.

Anyway, I typically consume Optimum Nutrition with their Cake Batter being my favorite vanillay flavor so far, and their Caramel Toffee Fudge being my favorite chocolate flavor IN THE WURRLL!

But I was considering the chocoPNB and the banana from Champion maybe.

But is it really thick? Or will it be supah for my protein coffee and in warm almond milk?

Persons who are me wonder!

And also, feel free to share whatever is your favorite - although price IS a factor, I need 3 a day every day, so I just cannot swing 50 bucks for a 2 pound jug that only has 10 servings!  Maybe some day - but not this day!

Thanks friends!

My favorite is Chike. I like the Bariatric Advantage too and I suspect they have the same manufacturer as Chike but I could be wrong.

I was just 'eh' about Champion but I don't like a lot of shakes that other people like.  I don't remember it has being particularly thick but it's been years since I had any.

I hear a lot of folks raving about how much they like Champion but my go to brand is Syntrax Nectar chocolate and strawberry flavors. Why not see if you like Champion first, order a few samples from Vitalady. The baggy they come in is 1 1/2 scoops or 30 grams of protein.

Thank you both!  I think on this board is where I heard folks talking up Champion.  I shall get some samples!  Hooray for samples!

I just threw out all my little wrappers from Vitalady when I tried all the samples.  I do think???? that the champion ones were thick.

I've been using 100% whey gold standard from GNC and they have a carmel toffee fudge also which is pretty reasonably priced.  I use it in my coffee and for shakes and protein cakes.  Seems to work well in all.  Buy it when they have a BOGO or at least during gold card time.

I typically order it from Netrition, it just went up to 49 *from 43 or 46, I think* for the 5 pound tub.  I typically get two 5 pound tubs at a time - and like that netrition just charges 5 bucks for shipping, no matter how heavy! yaay!

Thanks for your input, Price!

I may well stay with Optimum Nutrition, since I know at worst, sometimes it can taste a little chemical-y to me (some of the flavors, like their double chocolate, chocolate mint, and vanilla ice cream).  But even still, a little chemical-y is nothing bad enough to make it not stay down!

I am afraid of the Iso-Puke!  :}

Hey HoundMama, good to see you back here.  I primarily use GNC Hydro Whey Velocity Vanilla if I'm looking for vanilla.  30 grams of protein per scoop.  Not sure how pricey because I haven't bought in awhile.

I have a packet of Champion Stack.  I'll try it and email you the results of thick or not.  I happen to like thick because I drink it as a shake, not in protein coffee.   I've used the Hydro Whey chocolate as a protein hot cocoa and it works well and is thin.

Thank you!!  Do let me know!  I dont mind a thick shake, but I am not sure how keen I am on sludge coffee!  :}

Your Velocity Vanilla is actually Optimum Nutrition Brand babykakes!!  At netrition its 3.5 lb tub is 53.99 with 40 servings says the label!

Please let me know about the Champion.  I am going to order some samples from VL too, I think.  Its carbier than I think I would prefer, but if its superduper - then it might be worth it!  :}

You know how carb stingy I am.  ha!!

I don't like thick and have never tried the Champion.  I like the Syntrax Nectars.  Lemon Tea is my favorite.  No carbs, no sugar.  2.2 lb tubs are around $32.  I order 3 tubs a month.  2 Lemon tea and 1 Cappuccino.
A tub will do about 30 days for me and I do 3 a day sometimes 4.

I love about time protein. You can order sample packs from their site, tryabouttime.com for 2 packs its 2.99. I have been ordering from a place sevengrains.com and can get a 2 pound tub for 24.99. I have atleast 2x a day. A tub last me about 2 weeks.

Good luck in your search!
