Thanksgiving is almost here....already!  Time to take inventory before you go hog wild on holiday presents, folks. You need your vitamins and protein more than Uncle Elmo needs that Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer neck tie.

I'm down to 1/2 a bucket of IDS vanilla-cinnamon protein powder and I'm getting into some of my VitaminShoppe backup inventory of vitamins. Time to place my Vitalady order before I have to start shopping. Make sure you are taken care of before you try to take care of anyone else. Sounds selfish but it really isn't. Think of the pre take off speech..."when traveling with children, put your own oxygen mask on first and then help your child".

It's funny you should say this.  I was feeling kind of guilty because I decided to splurge and buy 50 lbs of unflavored whey isolate.  I got a great deal on it and it should last me at least 6 months.  Last time I bought 20 lbs from the company thinking it would last forever and it just barely lasted 3 months, if that.  Buying it in bulk is going to cost around $4 a pound, which is awesome for whey isolate.  And it really mixes well and cooks great.  Since I ran out I have been using Body Fortress from Walmart again, which is about $15 for 2 lbs and it isn't isolate and I don't care for the taste any more.  I used to love it when I was first post op but now it doesn't seem to taste the same.  Still doable but I am looking forward to being able to mix this into my oatmeal and other things.  
I am good on vitamins so far because I buy those in bulk, too, to save on shipping or when I find a great deal.  I plan on having my labs run again soon to see if I need to make any changes.

Some good thoughts, Gina. I tend to go over board on Christmas. I'm going to be putting in my Vitalady order this week and just did an Amazon order yesterday. That should get me through the end of the year.

I've found I need to have a vanilla and a chocolate, but I'm not real picky about brands.  I've been using 100% whey in the chocolate carmel for my chocolate but the 5 lb is getting low.  I try to remember to order my GNC stuff (protein only, not vits from them) when it is gold card time and they have free shipping.  The stores are more limited with what they offer. 

I really enjoy Lemon Tea.  Don't have it everyday but I would miss it when it was gone and of course, you can't get that from GNC so that is another order.  Last time Luckyvitamin seemed to have the best deal but it varies from time to time.

I just did an order from Bariatic Choice for calcuim and got a large supply.  I also bought some of their protein bars since they were on sale and I needed more stuff to get free shipping.  I've only had one but boy was it really like a candy bar.  Not bad stats too.  About the same as 3/4 a pure protein bar in calories, carbs and protein. 

Most of my vits come from CVS but when I order the special ones from Vitalady, I order quite a supply.   I pick up the multis and calcuim when I am in the store and they are on sale (which seems like aways) so I always have a bottle or two stached away.

I just ordered some more vitamins - I use Nashua Nutrition and get Bariatric Advantage, Celebrate, and Syntrax at the same prices as Amazon or other web sites. I also picked up some individual Syntrax Nectar packets for a vacation that I'm going on after Christmas.  Then it was off to Vitamin Shoppe for an big bucket of Isopure Vanilla protein powder.

Last order we got some from vitalady, we got a Belgian Chocolate and a Chocolate/Peanut Butter and BOTH tastes great...mixes much better than what we were getting at Sam's/WalMart.

We just got our last order from Vitalady so we are good for at least a month or so.

I really tend to go overboard at Christmas, but have told my family I'm doing it different this year.  Everyone is getting an envelope with their money in it that I'm spending on them.  When I go shopping and their envelope is empty - I'm through with them!!  Now to see if it works!!

I usually order my protein every month.  I get 2 of the Lemon Tea and 1 of the Cappaccino.  Sometimes I change out and get the IDS vanilla-cinnamon for a change.  Hopefully I have enough vits and calcium to last me until December because I just placed a large order the first of this month.

I'm sorry, but the world needs more Rudolph ties. It's the secret to world peace! 

Honestly I can't even think about Christmast shopping this early. I have seen people post online that they are DONE with their shopping right around Halloween and I think WTF??

But I do need to order more protein powder. I have 4 jars and every one is down to the bottom. But it looks like I have plenty from the outside because there are four jars sitting on the counter! It's a mental thing, I guess.

I just got my 2nd order of protein this month as I have fallen in LOVE with syntrax mint cookie (make protein ice cream...YUMMO!!).

Lady tazz..where do you get this great deal on the unflavored whey?  Do you make protein coffee with this?  I am curious.

Gina....where do you order the IDS vanilla cinnamon......that flavor sounds so yummy...just may have to try some in my coffee. 

I am the beach for a few days (oh, so lovely!), on here less than usual.  Gonna go make some decaf protein coffee for nighttime snack in the hotel.
