Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!    Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER!!

It's Saturday!!!   Enjoy your weekend LW's!!!

DD#3 and I spent hours at the grocery store yesterday.  We had 20% off on foodperks so our Goal was to buy $300.00 worth and get $60.00 plus other store discounts and coupons off.  She manned the calculator and we only went over by $6.00.....YEAH!!!!   It felt exciting just like the Extreme Coupon show when the total came coming down.....LOL
Kindof how I felt when the scales kept moving down every day during the Honeymoon Period.   I don't ever want to forget where I've come from!!!!!

Hi Roz!

How exciting with the coupons! I haven't been on here much lately to track (I still track on my phone with myfitnesspal.com & WW - so I am still tracking daily on my phone, but not as fun "in person" with everyone here!). I've been busy with work, school and taking care of my grandsons .

Anyway - here is my plan for day -

Breakfast - protein smoothie 42 gms protein
Lunch - maybe some eggs???
Dinner - thin steak & veggies
Snack - isopure drink - 40 gms protein

I weighed in at WW today - was only down 0.6# today, I had been pretty good during week, but yesterday did not get in nearly enough fluid. I woke up and drank a ton of water (as my fingers were puffy) - so maybe that is why I didn't have as big a loss? Who knows? I'm still very thankful to be losing. Down 61# total! Yay!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Hi Roz,
I missed yesterday completely.  When I got off yesterday I sat on the couch and fell asleep!!  I'm taking the weekend off and not doing anything except washing clothes and cooking some.  I'm doing a pot of vegetable soup with ground sirloin, ground turkey & ground sausage - it is sooo good.  I'm making a pot of white chicken chili also so I should have plenty for next week.

I can't imagine your extreme shopping trip.  But you do have a lot more folks to feed than I do.

It was a beautiful day here but started really cold.  I found some jeans that were really low slung so I could put the button well under my incisions on my tummy but my long johns went right over it.  Luckily, my shirt was long enough to cover everything up. I'm still swollen some but hopefully can get most of my clothes on by next week.   I went to help a friend with a horse show and did fine all day.  I think I will be fine to drive Poppy tomorrow and compete next weekend.

Meals

I've never heard of cauliflower rice, do you make it, but it?

There are a few different ways to make it.  The way I do it is I steam some cauliflower florets until soft and then I put them in a mini food processor until they look like grains of rice.  I use it in place of rice.  I also use it to make pizza crusts and other things.  http://escapefromobesity.blogspot.com/2010/03/cauliflower-pi zza.html
Sometimes if I feel like something different I will put raw cauliflower in the mini food processor and then I put it in a pan with non stick spray or olive oil or butter and sautee it.  It is also good to steam the florets and mash them so they are like mashed potatos or puree them so they are like whipped potatos or chop them up and add cheese sauce for mock mac and cheese.
