Hi,
My husband let my life insurance lapse. I got the insurance prior to surgery so I'm assuming I'm healthier now than I was before. I never really had any comorbidities to speak of. I'm wondering if having the surgery will make it more difficult to get it back. I can get it back by filling out some form. I think also tell them about any surgeries etc. Anyone have experience getting life insurance after the surgery?
My 2nd question is about pain medicine for some brutal shoulder pain I'm having. Feels like a pinched nerve. 2 tylenol haven't done anything for it. I've taken a 200mg ibuprofen about 5 times in the last 4 years. Can I take a couple now? Thanks!

I've heard that you can get life insurance post WLS. Some folks have had to wait a few years post-op to get it again though. Since yours was 4 years ago, you may not have any trouble.
Even sleevers and DSrs have to be careful with NSAIDS like Ibuprofen. Please be careful and call your doc about a pain med for your shoulder. I think a couple of Ibuprofen might be ok for a couple of days but please call your doc Monday.

I looked into insurance but due to age and old heart stuff the rates were outragious. I think they just wanted me 6 months out from surgery.
I take hydrocodine for knee pain at night. No NSAIDS. I have also found Trameel cream to be of great help. You can get it at a health food store.
