Good Morning. Share your tips and tricks
* Start the day with a protein coffee and Greek yogurt, not with anything carby, carbs just want more and more carbs.
* Have low carb high protein snacks on hand to grab and go
* Make a couple of low carb dishes you can freeze and take to last minute pot lucks

Got my 6 mo labs and they show dehydration! Ugh. Will get them in my xls and post later.
Off to drink my protein AND water all day!!!
Thanks to the Vets! Our parade was yesterday since downtown is a ghost town on fed holidays.

Early out, freeze leftovers in ice cube trays. When solid, switch them to a plastic bag. Then as you eat less or more, you can take out however many cubes you need.
Cheese sticks are a stable. Never be without them. They can spend the day in your purse with no icepack (but not day after day).
Even if it is just you, cook somethings in bulk. I buy bags of chicken leg quarters when they are on sale and cook the whole thing. Freeze what you don't eat that night and you have a huge supply of great protein.
Edemama is a great take with you snack. Buy the individual packets and cook before you leave the house (a few minutes in the microwave). Can spend the day in your purse until you need them.

Protein pudding is also something I have almost every day....easy way to get some protein in yet have a "treat"....LOVE it.
Plan on bringing deviled eggs to my pot luck at work......they will have ham and I know with the eggs and some cheese I will do good! I still don't know if I dump so I just stay away from sweets unless they are sugar free (and even those are limited).
My surgeon f/up appt is the monday after thanksgiving so this helps with motivation....it has been SLOW loss since my last appt but I KNOW that I am doing things right 90% of the time so hopefully he will realize that as well. I have not weighed in a month but will weigh before my appt and update my ticker.
Am looking for a good low carb pumpkin pie to make for Christmas....I am the pie bringer in my family....will make a regular apple pie (which I do not like) but I would love to have a few pies that I can have a little bit of.....

Always start my day with protein coffee. I believe it does help stablize my sugar and neutralize the acid from the coffee. If I don't put protein in my coffee, my tummy starts to hurt....
I'm not a big sweet eater, so the holidays aren't that big of a temptation for me - BUT, it WAS last Christmas when I discovered I don't dump on sugar anymore... that wasn't a good thing, because I did then start having a cookie or piece of cake here and there. Before I was scared to death to dump. Now its the RH, so that also keeps me in check. Sugar doesn't seem to bother it so much as carbs and fried food do...
Last year there were a few parties I attended that didn't have ANYTHING for me to eat... it was all pasta or sweets, so I learned from that and will eat a small dense protein meal before going so I'm sure not to be in that situation again.

I always keep a small insulated ice chest (lunchbox size) with me in the car filled with water, shaker bottle w/protein in a baggy ready to mix, string cheese, cottage cheese or Greek yogurt just in case I'm out longer than I planned. Sometimes I come home and haven't used anything at all when other times it's allowed me to stay out longer and finish off everything I brought.
