Results are in for the 5 day pouch test. Drum roll please..... down 5 pounds!

Well worth the effort. Made me realize I can still lose. Don't need as much food as I think. Will need to be mindful about food the rest of my life. My sleeve still works.  I will make it to goal.

All good stuff. Now I want to stay on track more closely.

I weigh every day, which works for me. I like looking back and seeing what I weighed on a specific day and seeing my patterns. So here are the pouch test results: start 139.5, 138, 136.5, 136.5, 135.5, 134.5 this morning (day 6).

Thanks for all the support. It made me accountable. I'd recommend considering this option to anyone far out from surgery and struggling.

Congrats! Glad you are back on track!

It is amazing how little food we really do need. Good luck and cant wait to hear when you hit goal!

Congratulations, Wendy!!! I will definitely keep this in mind, if I find myself struggling.

I certainly agree with your daily weighing and looking for trends. It also works for me.

What is a five day pouch test? Please

The web site I used is 5daypouchtest.com. It is a way to be sure our pouches and sleeves are still working. It reset my eating for me. The basics are two days of protein drinks, then three days of nothing but protein, increasing in density day to day. Pretty simple.

Another tool for us.

YAY!!!  You did it.  I too am realizing that I truly need very little food but went back to grazing just to out food in my mouth...old habits.  Today was interesting, I actually diced up an egg in my cottage cheese and it was surprisingly good.  might become my new breakfast.  Looking forward to finishing and so far I am down 2+ pounds!!

Thanks again for inspiring me.  you did a great job.

You are welcome, Sheri. We need each other. The further I go on this journey, the more I treasure help and companions. We share things that even our families and best friends don't understand.

You are doing a fabulous job!
