I got my surgery date today.  I'm having revision from lap-band to RNY on Monday, Nov. 14th.  I'm torn between fear and excitement...mostly fear at this point ;)

I know this will be good for me long term but the risks of surgery and the pain associated with it are scary so I'll just have to keep reassuring myself I suppose!

They have this surgery so down at this point the risks are minimal. In fact I think the risks of staying MO must be higher. We all have that fear though but before you know it you will be on the loosers bench. Congrats on a date!

This Monday?  That's AWESOME!!!   Remember to walk and stretch to get the burpin' and tootin' goin' on so the residual CO2 can get out of your system.  Sip, Walk, Sip, Rest, Repeat and you're gonna be just fine!!  See you sooon... just scoooched down to make room for you!

just had hernia surgery yesterday and it brought back all the memories of my RNY a year ago.  It isn't what I would do for fun but it isn't that bad either and the benefits certainly outweigh the couple of days of pain.  Pain meds these days are pretty darn good (I did several last night).  As long as you do your part and stay on program, it should be wonderful for you.  We'll be swinging for you and keep a place warm for you on the losers bench.
