pouch test day 4

Yesterday was most boring so far. No problems and my least favorites to eat, canned tuna and eggs  which qualify as soft protein. I added some cottage cheese with the eggs, which the web site said was okay. The egg keeps the cottage cheese from being too easy to eat.

This test helps me realize how I was starting to obsess about my next food. Now, I wait till I'm hungry and eat what's on my list. Today I had a 2 oz. hamburger for breakfast. I have some shrimp thawing for later.

Hard to believe this is day 4, really goes quickly once you commit!

I googled and found a web site called 5daypouchtest.com. I am following the recommendations. There is lots of information on the site.

It has made me more aware and determined to make my goal, even if it takes longer than I hoped. I like having this tool as I get further out and need a reminder of the basics.

Thnaks for your support. I know you'll do well.

Jody, you are always one of my role models  on this board. I can say on day 5 that it is worth the effort. We can do anything for 5 days, after what we have been through with our surgery.

It's another tool available for us, to use or not. Some Sunday, you'll say tomorrow's the day.

Yay for day 4!!!  I am surviving day 1   I feel hungry but I think it is in my head.. I am going to go get some jello...I have to admit it was not as hard as I thought but I feel more satisfied with food.  I think tomorrow will be harder for me.    I also went to the gym (1 st time in like 3 mo)  it felt great!  Anyway  keep motivating us...you are doing awesome.

Sheri, good on you! I think the decision to start is the hardest. Then it seems to take on a life of its own and we can do anything for 5 days.

Keep it up, you are awesome to go to the gym, too!

Good for you girl...yeah tuna day is depressing....when you're eating tuna for breakfast you know you're in it to win it....I agree with you it makes the days longer because you think about food and not eating and you're not thinking about what you will eat next or won't eat next or whatever...also it makes you realize what they mean by head hunger! Keep it up...SEAVIEW
