pouch test day 3

I am happy to say that I made it through my boss's 60th birthday party. I grabbed a water and only stayed an hour. I have never seen such gorgeous appetizers, every dip I love, something called caviar pie, fruit plates, mini quiches. Yikes!

Today I had a scrambled egg for breakfast. Made up some plain tuna, with a touch of mayo for lunch at work. Have a hard boiled egg in mind for an afternoon snack.

I feel like I am getting back to basics. These three days, I can't rely on my Beneprotein. I realize I get lazy and don't cook solid protein as often as I should. These three days remind me how easy it is to have small porions in the freezer or buy fresh at a market that will weigh things out for me.

Hope everyone has a good Sunday, doing what pleases and renews you.

Lately I've been good about portioning small amounts of meats in the freezer for when I need it.  I've also been buying a rotisserie chicken on the weekends, picking it clean, and using it for lunches or dinners.  On those nights when my husband wants to eat a pizza, I've got my chicken or something in the freezer.

Your post got me motivated to do the five day. It was fun to see your success. I already feel better. I needed to remember why I chose surgery, not to make loss easy, but to make it possible!

Wendy, Good for you!!!

I don't like to cook, but when I do, I will cook up a couple of chicken breasts, beef, bison (lower in fat and calories than beef) or salmon and fix enough for a few meals, so that I don't have to cook everyday. It really makes a difference. Fixing enough tuna for a few meals would work, too. Today, I am going to make some Turkey Chili, some of which, I will freeze. Rotisserie chicken works well and you can also freeze it, and use as needed.

Thanks, Gail. I look forward to chicken day. I plan to get a really good cooked chicken and savor it. And freeze leftovers. And make broth from the carcass. I'll get my money's worth!

I think I'll check into a spin class at my gym. This darn shoulder is literally a pain!  Hope all is well with you.

good for you.  I read an article recently that talked about will power getting stronger when you exercised it.  You have been doing great exercises recently with your will power and it ought to be Super woman strong soon.
