2 days and counting
Two days!!! That's great. I'm right behind you lady, only 11 more days to go for me. I'm excited for you. Keep me posted and let me know about your progress day by day. I looked at my schedule while at work tonight and discovered that I'm off until December 16th, surg date November 16, so I'm hopeful that I will be able to return to work without anyone ever knowing that I had RNY.
Oh yes, I went though all those feelings. For days before I'd have this though of "what if I'm the only one in this world that doesn't lose weight?". I think doubt, fear, insecurity, and lots of other feelings are all normal. I just held with the notion at the core of my gut that this is what I had to do.
I wasn't nervous and was actually surprised at how calm I was. I just knew whatever was on the other side of the surgery had to be better than were I was at the time.
You will be fine. Concentrate on getting your fluids and protein in and following your plan and you will lose weight. Maybe steadily, maybe in stops and starts, but you will lose. It's an amazing journey. Hang on.

Mine was a revision from lapband so I definitely was worried I wouldn't be successful. But, as Price said, I wasn't really nervous because I figured anything was better than the way I was feeling. Mandy, you are already successful-the surgery will just make it easier for you to continue on your journey. Swinging lizards.

. You may initially lose weight slower than you anticipate, because you have already lost a lot of weight pre-surgery. Just focus on those inches, and not the pounds!
I was wishy-washy before my surgery. Mostly thinking that I should be able to do this myself, and that it was a drastic thing to do. I was very calm about the surgery itself, as I was very confident with my surgeon and the hospital staff.
I never thought I would lose weight this fast....
