Great news and some questions too
Tony,
Of course I'm not a bit surprised you are ahead of schedule and doing such a great job. I know how badly you wanted this surgery and I know regardless of what happened, you were going to be a success.
Now, regarding your brittle fat... can't help you there and have never heard of it. I can understand your concerns regarding trauma - as it could be a very real possibility.
Good to hear from you!!

But since I been back to work, feeling good and everything else its like I don't have much time on the computer at all.
I see you reached that goal you were shooting for again :-) Great job
Im very happy with what I ended up with. I don't have any malabsorption, my weight is coming off, my diabetes no longer needs meds, my blood pressure is now 120 over 65
All I take now is synthroid in the am and even that had to be lowered as I lost 43 lbs total since the begining of Sept and 1 klonapin at bedtime to help me sleep, Not counting a daily vitamin and a b12 sublingual.
So im very happy.
I don't plan on going for the DS right now for several reasons. 1 insurance won't cover it unless I get 35 bmi again and two Why? if all is going great and the weight is still coming off I was 214 last Sunday and 212 today if its not broke don't fix it LOL
As for my liver and everything else inside that was all good with no problems so I don't know where the liver part came from?
The fat has to be going away or my diabetes would not be getting better cause its the internal fat that causes or worsens diabetes.
Any YES it feels outstanding mentally and physically not to be dependant on those Type 2 meds

Tony, the reference to the liver was only what google pulled up when I searched for friable fatty abdominal tissue. It had nothing to do with your case other than you had the brittle tissue without a liver problem.
That's awesome that everything is going so very well for you that you aren't going to need another surgery. Way to go!
Looking forward to an updated avatar pic of the new skinny you when you get to where you wanna be.

Showed my wife and she said same thing. Amazing how much we lose on our face and neck
Hey Tony No Neck! You gotta Neck?? WOW! Yea!! It's amazing!!
Here in Arizona, our driver's licenses are good, like, forever...until we turn 62, or 65, I can't remember. LOL Mine's a CDL though and I have to have it renewed every 5 years. I wonder if they'd do it earlier if I show them the dif in person. My gosh is it extreme. Besides, I had the flu the day of the pic and it's the absolute worst ever.

I bet your wife is really proud of you! Get some pics up!

Its a male characteristic I believe to have very dense hard visceral fat ... as opposed to a woman's fat distribution which is usually towards the hips , much more subcutaneous and ( for a surgeon ) much easier to deal with .
This may have come about evolution wise because interabdominal fat is a LOT easier to carry walking and our ancestors ( particularly male ancestors ) had to hunt and walk many many miles and even carry back their kill ...
Because fat cells produce extra ESTROGEN to keep themselves in place .. not every overweight male has Your type of fat distribution . Usually the bigge rthey are the more estrogen theyve been producing and their fat distribution pattern is commesurate .
Because Ure a lightweight I suspect U still have a " normal " testosterone profile and U may have started out as a genetically high testosterone level producing guy .
The problem with this type of interabdominal fat for EVERYONE ( apple shaped women like myself included ) is that the closer the fat is to the heart the more prone U are to have strokes , HBP and heart attacks .
So its important to get it OFF ... but Im sure U will do so after U successful surgery ...
Personally I woudlnt want to take a chance on my organs or insides being ruptured if Ure fragile inside with reckless " sports " activity . I dont think getting kicked or hit in the gut as a sport is what the body defines as " normal " activity anyway .
Truly we ALL seem to prone to abdominal hernias .... which is caused by a thin ( stretched out ) friable abdominal WALL .... why take the risk ?
