Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!    Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER!!

I'm making a few changes in my menu today.  I'm adding a some fiber, elimanating my pretzels, and adding some fresh fruit.  I remember at WW once the leader told me that If I ate fresh fruit then I wouldn't crave sweets.  I haven't been craving sweets but I haven't been feeling satisfied either.  I think I'm eating empty calories that aren't satisfying me.

I'm definitely going to try making the Protein Cake later tonight.  I'm going to try the version that Price posted yesterday with the Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate.  I'm excited to find another way to use Greek Yogurt.

As far as the ingrediants go I don't see why not (make sure it is moist enough).  I'm going to use SF applesauce instead of the oil.

I avoid a lot of things like this becaue they are trigger foods for me and I don't want to crave sweets.  I rarely eat protein bars because of the same thing.  I'm going to try it but if it causes me trouble then that will be the last time for me.

I don't know if that's true or not.  I just remember her telling me that when I confessed to her that I was craving sweets.   I used to eat fruit every day but I cut back because of something someone else said about all of the sugar but I'm thinking it has to be better than the pretzels and graham crackers that I'm eating they seem to make me want more.

Good Menu!

Hi Roz,

I love fruit, but for some reason I never eat it except summertime when I can have cantaloupe and watermelon.  DH eats it all day everyday!!

I made the chocolate cake for a while, mine didn't have protein in it and it became another bad habit for me.  I think I'm going to try Price's version and use the no sugar applesauce and atleast I'll be getting some extra protein in.

Let me know about the fiber and how it works.  I stopped my Miralax a while back and added fiber and fiber substitutes and boy did I get in a mess.....  It took me a couple of weeks to get myself straightened back out.

Here's the plan for today.

B:  Protein Decaf Coffee
S:  Decaf Coffee
S:  Lemon Tea Protein Drink
L:  1/2 Wendy's Grilled Chicken Apple Pecan Salad
S:  Lemon Tea Protein Drink
D:  Salmon Patties, Green Beans - Planned not sure
S:  Chocolate Protein Cake or Cherry Cheesecake

Vitamins:  Morning Done
Water/Fluids:  55 ozs so far
Miles:  None - this is getting to be a habit!!

I figure if I'm going to have several snacks a day I better start making them healthy.  I think grapes an pears are better in the fall than during the summer.  I was eating a lot of fruit until someone mentioned how much sugar was in watermellon but I think I should have stuck with it instead of finding alternatives.

The Protein cake  should be pretty healthy with the protein and yogurt but if it leads to me craving sweets it's gone!

I tried Miralax but I didn't have any luck with it.  I use a "fake" colace every day and it seems to do the trick.  I used to buy Colace but I started buying the Walmart brand and it's under $2.00 a bottle and I swear it works better.  My DGD who had surgery on her rectum has to  use Miralax every morning and they put Pear juice in her milk every day to keep her bowels moving.  I still watch her struggle to go and it's so sad.

Good Menu!
