Menus and Miles Mon. Oct. 31st
My surgeon just wants me to eat more at this time and of course not exercise excessively. As if, lol.
I kind of doubt that my malabsorption status will change much since I am a revision and I assume that my body has already done it's adapting to my altered digestive system, but I really don't know. I can barely get my surgeon to admit that I still do malabsorb so it's hard to ask about that. I do think that my eating capacity will grow over time. It already has to a great deal but I don't want to pu**** I like eating until I am satisfied and not stuffed. I am eating larger portions but I don't want to make them too large and mess up my restriction.
I just think that over the natural course of things I will be eating more and have my bounce back like so many others. I just want to continue avoiding the refined carbs that have given me so much trouble in the past. SInce my revision I rarely get very hungry but I have a feeling that may change, too. I have heard others say that their hunger eventually came back. I just hope it doesn't get out of control like it was in the past. Hoping that avoiding my trigger foods will curb the cravings. Kind of a delicate balance, isn't it?

Roz - I love your story. My grandsons are Woody from Toy Story, a monkey and Mater from Cars 2. The ages are 3, 2 and almost one. It is so much fun! We are giving out candy tonight to neighborhood kids - luckily, my husband did not buy anything that I "love" candy-wise!
Hopefully things will start to settle down. I have been tracking on myfitnesspal & WW on my phone.
Today I was babysitting the above 3 grandsons. Fun!
B: Protein drink - 20 gms

Not my best day eating-wise! Could have been worse though.

I'm surprised my grandson didn't want to be something that had to do with cars but he picked spiderman. This is the first year he got to pick his own costume. We only got 3 trick or treaters and I had candy for 30 plus my DD#1's huge bowl to hand out. !! I let them plus my DGC take handfuls and then sent a bunch home with my DD#2's boyfriend.
Do you know what your precentages are for protein, fats, and carbs? I think your protein should be a little higher with 1200 calories. If you always start the day out with a protein drink maybe add a half scoop more to start your morning higher.

I didn't have any candy - but we have a lot left. Will have my DH take it with him tomorrow.
I don't know what my percentages are. I cannot recall what they should be. I will try and have more protein in the morning.

Starting your day out with higher protein jumps starts your metabolism but don't cut back on the next one.

DGD#1 was a fairy and DGD#2 was a lady bug. They were sooo cute. We did not have the first trick or treater other than the granddaughters this weekend.
