Good Morning. Ugh! I hate the main board

No, we are a great example of NO surgery wars.  Thanks to all of our various surgeries, we can play nice and share great information and support for whoever stops by. I should have said I love all of our DSer, but then I love all of our everythingers.

Yeah, I read that thread...I read the whole thing and could feel my blood pressure rising.

I can attest to my hubby having had all his shots...and he's not mean! I'm meaner than he is!

I stopped reading after the first few posts because I was getting angry. Trying to respond intelligently is like hitting your head against a brick wall.

What an unpleasant thread.  I'll admit to having dipped my toes into the Main Board, but not much and not often.   This is why.  There seem to be a few rabble rousers from each surgery that seem to keep things stirred up no matter what thread I read, but I grant this one is pretty over the top.

I guess in this case i guess I was the unwitting rabble rouser ... but it was pretty much unintentional though admittedly sometimes i DO use a bit too specific and maybe provocative language .

There's something about me that absolutely gets some of these ( largely DS er) main boarders 's panties in a twist lol . The juvenile name calling and responses can be kind of funny in a sick kind of way ... at least i've learned to take the that way .

I'm sure they miss me when I've gone AWOL lol...

im one of their FAVORITE targets

I read your thread title and knew before I opened it up which post you were talking about. My guilty secret is that I get a little entertained and angry at the same time by the wars, but I do feel really bad about new members who come on not knowing what is about to transpire in their thread.

I hate the idea of new people getting put off when, if they stick around, will get some good advice from knowlegable people.

BTW Gina, when is the november support meeting at Inova? Is it next monday? I'd like to try and get to it becuase I haven't been to one yet. Stuff keeps getting in the way. Not even completely sure I'll be here for this one because my mum is in hospital and not doing so good and I may have to fly out soon.

Tomorrow evening! A couple of us are meeting at Swee****er Tavern in Merrifield and then going to Fairfax Hospital for support group. This week we are to bring a WLS friendly dish for Thanksgiving. We meet at 5PM at Swee****er. Let me know if you can make it. Support group is at 7PM if you'd rather meet us there.

Oh that's a different one to what I thought it was.  My surgery was at Fair Oaks (off rugby road)  The support group there (just looked it up) is the third monday of the month.  Haven't been yet.

Is the one you go to tomorrow open to people who were done at Fair Oaks as well?  At this point I'm not sure about this week.  I'd like to go, but I'll see how I feel.  I've cancelled apointments this week including hosting a neighborhood party this Friday.

I'm feel like I've been kicked in the gut because of worry about my mum.  It would be a lot easier if I could just jump in the car and drive to where she is.  Everything is in limbo at the moment because she needs surgery but isn't fit enough to get it.  If I don't see you guys this month, I'll try again next month.
