WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER!!
Happy Sunday!! I had to get up early to get ready for church. Since DD# and DGD are staying here for the week that means 6 people in one bathroom. My poor SIL he only gets a few minutes.
I bought a few Christmas presents yesterday but I don't think I need any clothes for winter since I bought dress pants. Do any of you live where you can wear the same clothes year round? I'm not sure if that would be good or bad.

I'm so over this preop diet. I'm so irritable and have a headache.
Unjury is a great protein suppliment however it is not a meal replacer. By not using a meal replacement shake, you aren't getting the vit/min/etc that you need. We were on a 4 week pre-op liquid diet with one small food meal a day. Ours was Optifast which is a meal replacer not a protein supp. We were told very specifically not to use it after surgery because we could dump on it. I guess you could start all your vits/mins now and be ok but it is something to think about.

Here in Southern California you can where Capri's or shorts during the day year round and long pants in the evenings most of the time. But I would much rather have colder weather and be able to wear a nice sweater, scarf and gloves and not drip w/sweat. I bought some new boots but I'm already worried about how HOT they're going to be. It has to be a really cold day (62 degrees LOL) for me to even consider thinking about wearing them. Girls, enjoy your sweaters and boots!
I've been complaining lately about feeling icky about protein drinks and food etc. Usually after I have my protein drink (which I love) I feel much better. It's just the thought of drinking or eating that bothers me so much. I had my first chicken (thigh) yesterday and was able to eat a heaping tablespoon with no problems. I had 2 shrimp for lunch (which I had a ton of times w/no problems) then yesterday it threw me for a loop. For breakfast I had a half of an apple w/1 tablespoon Jiff peanut butter and it felt good in my pouch. I guess it's just trial and error, some days good, some days not. I WILL FIGURE THIS OUT. Thank you everyone for all your suggestions.

I need to get started shopping. DD & I usually go the day after Thanksgiving and then I take a day off in December after she gets out for her Christmas break(teacher) so we can go again.
It was in the 30's here today and pretty cold.

I made a cherry marble cheesecake and it is pretty good. I used the Pumpkin Marble Cheesecake recipe but substituted the no sugar added canned cherry pie filling(Pureed) and did not add the cinnamon or nutmeg. It didn't firm up quite enough, but it taste good. Maybe after it sits in the fridge overnight it will firm up a little more.
