My 1 yr is on Fri. Posting before and after pics
Wanted to post today as I am going out of town for my 1 yr follow up visit and then visiting my friends. Not sure I was going to have access to a computer. I have met one goal but still wish to get to 135. Maybe I can by the end of the year. It has been an awesome experience and very glad I had the surgery. Day of surgery they I stopped taking 3 medicines, my insulin has dropped from 100 units a day to 25. Trying to eliminate my sleep apnea, but no go yet. Sure hoping it goes away.
Thanks everyone for your support along the way. I am struggling mentally that I have not succeeded like others but having to remind myself I cannot compare. I have done very well and will succeed......

You should focus on the positives - you have lost over 80 lbs! That's a fantastic achievement for a lightweight (remember we have less excess body weight to lose, so we lose less actual lbs) And you look great in your pictures, and your insulin requirement has dropped as well.
Many of the posters have lost a little weight after 1 year - keep to the plan, and you may make your goal yet.
As for the sleep apnea - mine certainly hasn't gone away either - my sleep doc said after losing about 70 lbs it should be gone, but instead, it got worse..... I've adjusted to the fact that the cpap machine will be my bedfellow forever. Not too high a price to pay for energy during the day, and blood oxygen levels where they are supposed to be.

Stick to your program and the rest will come off, I bet. You have 6 more months of "honeymoon" and lots of folks have kept losing after that. You can do it, eat right and move your body. it will work.

I know that I will do fine. I am very good about sticking to my plan, but I am human and do on occasion eat something I shouldnt or maybe more than I should. I have made this a life long commitment.
