Bariatric Light Weights in the News
With my first surgery I worried about not qualifying because I was right on the cusp. I think I hit 40 BMI the day before my first surgeon's appointment. By the time I had surgery 3 months later I had gained another 10 lbs (around the world last supper time) and I didn't worry about it.

High Weight (2002) 240 Revision Weight (2010) 220 Current Weight 115.
I don't think I would have deliberately gained weight, but if I was on the cusp, I would make my appointment for later in the day and be sure to drink a lot of water before the appointment and maybe eat something too. And wear heavy clothes.
None of that is insurance fraud.
