Well my pharmacy just got my ferrogels forte 460/60/.01/1mg  in, and it seems like its going to be a challenge.
Take on an empty stomach away from coffee, tea, grains anything but fruit it sounds like.
The pharmacist also warned my to have atleast 4 to 6 hours apart from my synthroid, it does interfere with absorption even when separated, and atleast 2-4  hours apart from my calcum!   Mamma Mia!
Not to mention all the gi side effects listed on the sheet. Better double up on the miralax! Got to take twice a day. So wish me luck, I guess it will be worth it if I dont have to go through iron infusion.

Man, it is going to take a calculator to figure that one out.  I am so happy I haven't needed Iron.

Good luck.  Maybe someone here has done it and has it all figured out.

Thanks Price!
Hopefully if I can get the gyn to do something to lighten up my monthly, maybe this will be a none issue in the future!

WOW...I'd probably set the clock for the middle of the night when I know I wouldn't be eating, drinking, or taking other supplements.  Good Luck!

Let's do this. Put your thyroid in a bottle cap on the bathroom counter near your glass. When you get up to pee, take your thyroid. Take it first, then pee, so it has 2-3 minutes to get down the pipe before you lie down.

The iron should be with fruit, true, and I'd suggest a few bites before and after it, as well as "with".

But you really only need about an hour, either side. I take mine about an hour after bfast since it is coffee, sometimes egg, whole grain, or dairy (cheese).

Only 1 hour between iron and synthroid? that doesn't sound right?  My Endo told me that most people have to wait 4 hours but since our digestive tract is shorter and thing go through faster I only have to wait 2 hours between my synthroid and either iron or calcium.  I would really be afraid to take it within an hour

I am really going crazy now - I am on cipro 2 times per day plus the synthroid, iron and calcium and the cipro can't be taken within 6 hours of calcium or iron so I am just not taking my calcium for the 2 weeks.  It is absolutely imperitive that I get total absorbtion of the cipro - I went into the hospital for kidney stones surgery and when they took my temp, I had 102.7, so it was cancelled. I was hospitalized for 8 days- turns out I was septic with infection of the blood and urinary tract. Was on IV antibiotics for 8 days and now 2 weeks of pills until I go back for the surgery I was supposed to have.  Things are never easy for me.

Thanks Michelle!
I always take my synthroid first thing, around 5 am with water by my nightstand. Then after I get up, start on the rest of my vites. This will make things so much easier!

I was born anemic and have been fighting it ever since.  I had really heavy monthlies so I took Yasmin for a couple of years till I went post menopausal.  Have you tried that?  There are lots of ways to eliminate your monthly all together.  Ask your Gyn doctor.
