Good Morning. On angel duty today
I guess I'm not officially her angel but one of our local folks is getting a band to DS revision today with my surgeon and I'm in mother hen and angel mode. Please swing JoAnna some lizards today that all goes well. She has such trouble with that dang band. Constantly sick and all that....
Just a reminder to new pre-ops...please think twice and cut once, revisions are dangerous. Know what you're getting yourself into. Research and research some more.
What's happening in your world today? Y'all have a great Tuesday.

I'm swinging for JoAnna too!
Last Tuesday was my 18th anniverary at work. The company was sold in 2006 but I've remained close to the founder and another partner that joined later. They called on Tuesday and asked if they could take me to lunch today to celebrate. I'm looking forward to great conversation with two men that I really like a lot.

Swinging 5 dogs here for JoAnna. I know how rough revisions are.
Things are going pretty good right now other then some mood swings. Emma is fitting in good. I still think I am out of my mind having 5 dogs but 2 of them are 11 and 12, which I hate to think about. It seems like only yesterday they were puppies.
Today I am going to do some volunteer work for the next 2 weeks. It is for evaluation purposes with voc rehab since I haven't worked in 2 years and not outside of the home in nearly 10 years. I am looking forward to it but nervous, too. I am hoping that if things go well I can take classes to become a medical biller and coder.
I am also feeling pretty good about my weight, even though it is still low, at least I have stabilized. I was looking at my records and I have weighed the same for over 5 or 6 weeks, with a 2 or 3 lbs flucuation. My lowest on my scale was about 99 lbs and I have been between 100 and 101 for a few weeks, except for some strange day when it said 97. So I think I know how to eat to stay at this weight. That is big for me. I am going to stay this course for a little while and see what happens before I try to gain some more. I am still thinking about the bounce back and that I may not have to do any work to gain a little. If I gained 10 lbs I could live with that for now. I just feel a little more in control then I was. My appointment with my surgeon was rescheduled for next week so I will see what they say. I am sure they will want me to gain more but at this point I am getting in 1800 calories a day and it is still uncomfortable to be eating all the time. I have to keep shakes and protein bars with me all the time to make sure I don't miss any meals or snacks and make a conscious effort to eat every few hours. It would still be easy to skip a meal or snack because I don't really get hungry. I just don't want to keep pushing things right now until this becomes more natural to me.
I have been hoarding protein bars. I found one I really love, the Think Thin chunky peanut butter bars. They have good stats and are sugar free and gluton free. They normall cost $1.79, which is kind of spendy for me right now but my local Freddies has them with a coupon for $1.00 each with a limit of 5 so every time I go in I buy 5. The sale is until 11/6/11 and so far I have at least 50 bars. That should keep me stocked for a while anyway.
